Department of Public Administration in the field of Civil Defence

The Department of Public Administration in the field of Civil Defence was established in accordance with the order of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine dated 04.09.2015 No. 448.

The department is a separate division of the Educational-scientific-production center of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine.

The aim of the department is to prepare Master’s and doctors of philosophy (PhD) in specialty 281 Public administration and management (field of study 28 Public administration and management).

The activities of the Department are focused on advanced theoretical training of students and providing them with the necessary practical skills and abilities in public administration in the field of civil defence; scientific research in public administration, improving the level of teaching disciplines, improving the educational process, effective cooperation and interaction with the faculties, departments and other structural subdivisions of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine.

The activities of the department are focused on providing in-depth theoretical training of students and ensuring that they acquire the necessary practical skills in relation to public administration, in particular, in the field of civil protection; conducting scientific research related to public administration, raising the level of teaching academic disciplines, improving the educational process, fruitful cooperation and interaction with faculties, departments and other structural divisions of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine.

The Department of public administration in civil protection efence in its activity is guided by the current legislation of Ukraine, orders and instructions of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine, normative acts on scientific activities of educational institutions of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine, the University Charter and Rector's orders.

Carrying out their professional activities, the department on behalf of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine establishes cooperation with the territorial departments and units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, higher educational institutions and research institutions.
